Co-creation

FIT ME! project performs tourism mobility trials and pilots. It also develops tourism mobility ecosystem.

FIT ME! aims to create a tourism mobility ecosystem that will strengthen the existing business of companies and generate significant new opportunities for the tourism and mobility industries. The ecosystem emphasises cross-sectoral and administrative stakeholder cooperation with the authorities, multidisciplinary involvement from the different tourism areas, and national and Nordic co-operation in the fields of transport, mobility services and tourism.

The project pilots new mobility services based on travellers’ and tourist areas’ needs. Pilot areas include Lapland and the Turku archipelago. Lapland is sparsely populated area where accessibility is the key concern. The aim is to develop e.g. travel chains and location based information on services. The Turku archipelago is characterized by sea transport. New tourism mobility services will be developed including waterborne transport, as well as route and schedule information of the archipelago will be digitalized.
